I was always skeptical about starting a blog. These blogs inspired me to take the plunge. I highly recommend them all:

A Beautiful Mess — Probably the most inspiring blog to me; sisters Elsie and Emma have built their blog and online reputation for relatable fashion, creative DIYs and one-of-a-kind recipes from the ground up. A fantastic example of everything a lifestyle blog should be.

Cara Loren — Gorgeous girl with a very cute husband and son to boot. A great fashion blog with a relaxed, but high-end feel.

ohdeardrea — I haven’t been reading Drea’s blog for long, but it’s already become one of my absolute favorites. Drea’s openness about her family life is refreshing to read. I think that it’s that openness that distinguishes one “lifestyle” blog from another. Her experiences and struggles are relatable and create a sense of community. I think this is way more important than pretending that everything is perfect.

SkinnyTaste — This is one of my favorite food blogs! I can’t tell you how many recipes I’ve copy-catted from Gina. I can easily spend all day pouring over her countless recipes…I’d be surprised if you didn’t find your favorite dish here (but even better, in “skinny” form!). P.S. the above image is one of my FAVORITE recipes–Southwest Turkey Meatballs.

Skunkboy Creatures — Another blogger with an ADORABLE family, I love Katie’s openness about her decision to home school. She also has the best style (in fashion and home!) and great DIYs and tutorials. Her laid-back approach to blogging is inspiring.
